What is sterling silver 925?
Sterling silver is the commonest form of silver available. To make silver durable enough for use in jewelry, pure silver, which has a .999 (99.9%) purity, is often alloyed with small quantities of copper (7.5%). The copper is added to strengthen the silver, and the resulting product is referred to as .925 sterling silver (92.5%)
How do I look after my sterling silver jewellery?
Polish your jewellery gently with the non-abrasive microfiber cloth that is provided. Lukewarm water can be used to gently rinse the silver jewellery.
Do not expose jewellery to chemicals. Silver is detailed through oxidation. Exposure to harsh chemicals can alter the appearance of your KIGU item. These chemicals include, but are not limited to, liquid silver polish and chemicals in swimming pools and spas, perfumes and deodorants. Oxidized silver and pearls are easily damaged.
When not using your jewellery, avoid exposing it to direct. Store them in a cool, dry place, a zip-lock bag, or an individual cloth pouch to help prevent both tarnishing and scratching. It is advisable to remove your jewellery whilst washing or cleaning.
How do I protect my leather jewellery?
Your leather jewellery needs careful care and attention. Leather is a natural material and general wear or washing may cause shrinkage, stretching or colour changes. We recommend removing it before a shower or bath.
Do my charms fit other major brand bracelets?
Yes, most of our products such as charms and clips can fit major branded charm bracelets. For those charms and clips that are exclusively compatible with KIGU items, we will specifically state this.
What are the stamps on my jewellery?
All sterling silver jewellery come with the stamp 925 and the latest models have the distinctive KIGU crown engraved. This confirms the authenticity of the product as one of KIGU. All our products with a weight of greater than 7.7g carry the UK assay hallmark to confirm their hand-finished status in the UK.
How can I track my order?
